Status: Design vs Runtime
An honest snapshot, as of early October 2026, of what is live on the main line of the product, what is being finished, and what is deliberately left for later. Read the design topics for the full model; read this page to know what runs today.
Authoring now has one path: Course Design (six faculty-approved reviews) feeds the Lead Designer, which plans, designs and produces every lesson to one Lesson Page Standard, with its remediation pieces. A signed course reaches learners only through a Dean release. In Journey, learners follow a course road, revise, and sit milestones that end in a spoken defense. The earlier engine ("Classic") is being removed: authoring is already gone, and retiring its courses and delivery code is under way.

Earlier versions of this page described a richer design model (eleven node types, template tiers, a modality palette) against a thin first slice. That model has been retired, not deferred: the product now has one course engine and one lesson standard. The remaining gap is clean-up of the old engine and a short list of parked features, listed above.
